In order for you to enjoy your holiday to the fullest, we need your personal responsibility and your help to ensure that we can succeed together, given the wide range of requirements and measures that we implement with full responsibility.
Please support us and adhere to our health and hygiene measures. Protect yourself, your family and other guests by treating them with respect and appreciation - then nothing stands in the way of a relaxing and safe holiday.

In our house, we have adapted some procedures to the applicable hygiene and safety regulations. This applies to rules of conduct, the design of our offers and also to internal procedures.
We would like to briefly inform you about them here. However, as the requirements can change constantly, our measures will be changed and adapted accordingly.

After a booster vaccination, the Green Pass is valid for 9 months from the day of the booster vaccination.
Please check if your current certificate is still valid after 01. February 2022.

  • New entry requirements
Since 25 December 2021 the Netherlands, Great Britain, Norway and Denmark are declared as virus variant areas.
From these countries, only people with a booster vaccination and PCR test (the PCR test is valid for a maximum of 48 hours) are allowed to enter Austria without a quarantine.
A 10-day quarantine applies to all other persons from the named countries after entering Austria.
In addition, a registration via the Pre-Travel-Clearance is mandatory for all travelers (including children).

  • Since Monday, 20 December 2021, a valid 2G proof AND additionally a PCR test is required for entry into Austria (2G+). This applies to entry from ALL countries. Stricter entry rules apply to virus variant areas.
  • Exception: Persons with a booster vaccination (valid from the day of the 3rd vaccination) do not need an additional PCR test.
Persons without a PCR test or booster vaccination are subject to registration (pre-travel clearance) and must maintain home quarantine until a negative PCR test result is presented.
  • Children up to 12 years of age are also exempt from the 2G+ regime.
  • Unvaccinated children/adolescents between 12 and 15 years of age require the Holiday Ninja Pass.

In Austria, the 2-G regulation currently applies as follows:
Only those who fulfil one of the "2G" are allowed to use facilities in the hotel and catering industry.

1. G = Proof of vaccination:
Proof of vaccination is only recognised if immunisation is complete. Only from the day of the 2nd vaccination persons are considered to be vaccinated:

    • Vaccines with two vaccine doses: A vaccination is only considered to be evidence of a low epidemiological risk if it has been fully immunized.
This proof is issued from the day of the 2nd vaccination and is currently valid for 270 days, from 1 February 2022, the Green Pass with two vaccinations is only valid for 6 months. After that, a third vaccination is required.
    • Vaccines with a single dose: In the case of vaccinations where only one dose is provided (Johnson & Johnson / Janssen), this counts as evidence from the 22nd day. The validity is 270 days from the day of vaccination.
Since 3 January 2022, a second vaccination is mandatory for validity.
    • Vaccination for those who have recovered: A vaccination is valid for nine months, provided you have had COVID-19 at least 21 days before the first vaccination (valid for 270 days).
    • Third vaccination: The third vaccination (or, in the case of single vaccines, the second vaccination) is valid for 270 days.

From 1 February 2022, the Green Pass with two vaccinations is only valid for 6 months. After a booster vaccination, the Green Pass is valid for 9 months from the day of the booster vaccination. Please check if your current certificate is still valid after 01. February 2022.

More information on the website of the Federal Ministry for Social, Health, Care and Consumer Protection.

When do I count as boosted?

  • With three vaccinations of the vaccines BioNTech/Pfizer, Moderna or AstraZeneca. Valid from the day of the third vaccination.
  • In case of recovery in combination with two vaccinations, from the day of the second vaccination.
  • In case of two vaccinations and a subsequent recovery, from the day of recovery.
  • With one vaccination of the vaccine Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) and a second vaccination with another vaccine BioNTech/Pfizer, Moderna or AstraZeneca.
  • With two vaccinations of the Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) vaccine.

ATTENTION! According to information from AGES: If you have recovered and received one vaccination with Johnson & Johnson (Janssen), you will no longer be considered as boosted from 3 January 2022. A second vaccination is required to be considered as boosted.

Vaccinations with other vaccines (e.g. Sputnik, Sinophar) do not count as evidence of one of the 2-Gs.

2. G = Recovery
Up to 6 months after infection.

Proof of neutralizing antibodies (antibody test) is no longer accepted.

Both, antibody tests and negative PCR or antigen test results are no longer valid. This also applies to adolescents 15 years and older.

The 2-G rule (vaccinated, recovered) applies in particular in accommodation establishments, catering establishments, cable cars, leisure and sports facilities, cultural establishments, the use of services close to the body (e.g. hairdresser),....

This means: Accommodation for guests (adults and children from the age of 15) is only possible with valid proof of vaccination or convalescence!

Regulations for children:

  • Children up to the age of 12 do not need any proof.

  • Children between the ages of 12 and 15:

If your child is not fully vaccinated or recovered, he/she will need the 2G certificate: "Holiday Ninja Pass".
The so-called "Holiday-Ninja-Pass" is equivalent to a 2G-proof for Austrian school-age youths as well as for school-age holiday guests from abroad at the age of 12 to 15 years, if:

  • from day 1 to day 5 there is always a valid negative test certificate. By carrying out this regular testing rhythm, the Holiday Ninja Pass is also valid on day 6 and 7 without further proof of testing for entry to gastronomy, the hotel industry, the leisure industry and for events.
  • The 7-day rhythm is flexible, the testing series can be started on any day of the week - the decisive factor for equality with 2G detection on 7 days is that there is always a valid test result during the first 5 days.
  • at least 2 of the tests are PCR tests;
  • all official test certificates are attached to the Holiday Ninja Pass in paper or digital form and a valid photo ID is carried.
  • If, in individual cases, a PCR test proof cannot be presented due to an untimely evaluation (longer than 24 hours) or lack of availability, proof of an antigen test is permissible instead as an exception (provided this can be credibly demonstrated).
  • The "Holiday Ninja Pass" is valid from the presentation of the first negative test result. This means that a valid negative test presented on arrival can be entered as the 1st test.
  • The "Holiday Ninja Passport" serves to document the serial tests and can be filled out by anyone who has the corresponding test proofs (e.g. by the legal guardian).
  • The regulation does not apply to persons born before 01 September 2006. These persons must be fully vaccinated or recovered!

*******************************************

  •  Corona tests of any kind (both PCR and antingen tests) are no longer permitted as proof of entry.
  • Antibody tests are also no longer valid as G evidence.
  • The validity of vaccination certificates (green passport) will be reduced from 360 to 270 days from full immunisation. After that, another vaccination is necessary for a valid certificate. (Note: instead of the previous 12 months).
The vaccination with the Janssen vaccine (Janssen-Cilag, Johnson and Johnson), which was originally designed as a one-time immunisation, is only valid until 3 January 2022 for the "green passport", provided that no subsequent vaccination has been carried out.
  • FFP2 mask obligation:
Wearing an FFP2 mask is obligatory in all puplic indoor-areas as well as in public transport.
Children up to 6 years of age are exempt from the mask requirement. Children between 6 and 13 years of age must wear a mouth-nose protection or FFP2 mask in all public indoor-areas. Everyone aged 14 and over must wear an FFP2 mask in all public indoor-areas.

  • Closing time in the restaurants & at the hotel bar is 10 p.m.
  • The consumption of food and beverages may only take place in a seated position. Consumption directly at the bar or counter is currently not permitted.
